Rock The Shell
I wrote & composed the Rock The Shell Album while at Walter Reed from 2005 through 2007, It took me until 2017 to rehab my body main inspiration was a visit from @DEF LEPPARD and My YouTube Creator friend Casey Cooper between the both of them they helped me to pick up my sticks again and work through the nerve damage and muscle atrophy.
During my time at Walter Reed Army Medical Center I recorded all 13 tracks of Rock The Shell Album minus the vocals, On Christmas day 2017 my special pacemaker type thingy. in my lower spine quit working and I fell to the ground while cutting my hair in my bathroom and took the Fire Men breaking down my door after two weeks once I had enough upper body strength to get to the kitchen to call 911.
After two full years of recovery and rehab for my spine in 2019 I was ready to finish up the Walter Reed music chapter of my life with Rock The Shell Album and now here in 2021 we are in final production.
The Only thing I wanted done was to take any raw audio tracks that were not recorded very well at Walter Reed and replay them and or hire out any parts that I currently was unable to redo at the time. and only play and record at the level I knew and had while at Walter Reed.
Rock The Shell I pretty much left it as my rough bounce to be Mastered as I wanted to add it to that part of my history before I learned about mixing, mastering and recording.
Rock On however almost all raw audio files were a go minus a couple small parts with the drums overheads etc. that I was not happy with and hired an excellent Session Musician and teacher to come in and replay those parts for me. My guitars were good and my bass guitars were also good however I decided to have Jamie Lailey the Power Rock Vocalist I hired for Rock On to also replay the bass guitar and I swapped out his with mine.
To me, Music is awesome and I want to share it and It does not always have to be me only playing everything I write and compose as I always welcome anyone who can play at my level or better to kicking my turtle shell around the arena.
Magma onto track 13 I am now set up with proper recording equipment for my new set of drums to replay Magma onto track 13 Drum Runs, along with getting setup with tuning, sound engineers and two Producers to help finish putting Rock The Shell Album in the History books so we can spend the next year working on the D.E.A.F. album and 3 other albums after that, that are currently in the books to do.
I am stoked to being able to share Rock The Shell album to the Public and want to again thank Rick Allen, Def Leppard and Casey Cooper for being there for me to recharge my inspiration and love for music.
